Health camps and outreach.

Pharmacy education is also public-health practice. The extension cell runs camps, awareness drives and World-Day observances year-round.

Why we do this

Pharmacy as public-health work.

The extension activities cell takes pharmacy training out of the lab and onto the street. Student-led health camps, awareness drives, school visits and World-Day observances are year-round and open to every student in every programme.

The Red Ribbon Club anchors the HIV/AIDS-awareness work, partnering with the District AIDS Control Society. Other drives — tuberculosis, leprosy, cancer screening, women's health, anti-tobacco — are coordinated with the local health office.
