World Pharmacist's Day 2026, celebrated under the global theme “Empowering Pharmacists for Healthier Futures.”
On 25 September 2026, Vaagdevi College of Pharmacy celebrated World Pharmacist's Day under the global theme “Empowering Pharmacists for Healthier Futures.” The programme was organized by the Department of Clinical Pharmacy & Pharm.D., in association with IIC and IQAC.
The programme was graced by Prof. G. Sammaiah, University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. G. Rajyalakshmi, M.Pharm., Ph.D., Assistant Director, Drugs Control Administration, Warangal Zone, as the Guest of Honour. The dignitaries highlighted the vital role of pharmacists in patient care, medication safety, and public health.
The celebrations included a Pharmacy Awareness Rally, cultural performances by students, and a prize distribution. The programme promoted professional awareness, student participation, teamwork, and community outreach, highlighting the significant role of pharmacists in building a healthier society.
